Sunnydale Bungalows is a tourist attraction located close to Knaresbrough. 

An exciting opportunity for the customer to significantly reduce their monthly spend due to the existing dual tariff with a 7-hour off-peak rate, which is 45% of the cost of the day rate. This has enabled us to reduce the reliance on the grid by 30% by the use of the solar panels we installed; however, there was an additional opportunity to charge the batteries during the off-peak hours of midnight and 7 am. 

Bambu carried out a site survey to understand what was possible and where to install the hardware to maximise the opportunity to reduce the reliance on the grid.;

• A 10kW Single-Phase Hybrid Inverter
• 2 x 20.04 kWh high voltage battery stacks 
• 1 x 50 amp Whole site Backup automatic switch 
• 30 x 505 Watt Canadian Solar Panels 
• A loRa meter to measure the existing solar and ensure it works with the new battery storage system
• Bird control

‘Alex has done me a design to get the initial sample data, we may increase the size of the system so we can add more battery storage, and we have had to install additional metering to ensure our existing system can collaborate with our new system. The ability to charge the batteries during the evening at less than half the price of our day rate will ensure we are benefiting from this system all year round. Once we have reviewed the data, we will consider increasing the system to a size that maximises our off-peak energy purchasing. The backup box provides an additional piece of mind for our business.'
